Erica is the Founder of Rica Oh My and a Certified Yoni Steam Practitioner since 2020
I wasn't looking for a business.
I was looking for healing.
Before the steam boxes. Before the herbal blends. Before any of this became a brand, there was just me—a mother who was exhausted, disconnected from her own body, and searching for something that felt deeper than what I had experienced before. I longed for a form of healing that felt ancient, sacred, and rooted in tradition.
During that search, I discovered yoni steaming with natural herbs. I learned that women had practiced this ancestral tradition for generations, yet I had never heard of it. Curious and hopeful, I researched the herbs, carefully created my own blend, and experienced my very first yoni steam.
Three days later, something happened that completely changed my perspective. After an entire month of spotting, my cycle shifted into a healthy, normal flow. I was astonished. Amazed. Baffled. I couldn't believe the change I had witnessed in such a short time.
I was so excited that I immediately picked up the phone and called everyone I knew to tell them what had happened. I couldn't stop talking about it. I wanted every woman in my life to know that this practice existed—that it wasn't just an ancient myth or forgotten tradition, but a practice that many women had relied on for generations.
That single experience sparked something much bigger than I ever imagined.
What began as my own personal wellness journey became a mission to educate women about yoni steaming and thoughtfully crafted herbal blends. I wanted to create products, resources, and experiences that would introduce other women to a tradition I was so grateful to have discovered.
Today, every steam box, every herbal blend, and every offering I create is rooted in that same moment of curiosity, hope, and discovery that changed my own life.
Before the steam, there was the silence.
The research about yoni steaming did not stop. I fell on multiple articles and started to run across videos of women who already found this ancient knowledge before me. I came across a video of womb healing that was more than physical but spiritual. I did my very first healing ceremony after I lost my 3rd child. It took me a year to actually sit with myself, by myself and I thought yoni steaming and setting a space with intention would get me in a spiritual safe space. I rocked my body side to side, back and forth as I steamed I began to cry. A cry that came and went but never fully released. Time and time again I used yoni steaming as a time to thank my feminine self and the things that feminine deivine energy offers to the world and those around me. Again I found myself appreciating this practice the women of the past left for me. It felt sacred, I felt elevated and most of all I felt relieved.

What started as self-care became a calling.
Vaginal steaming isn't new. It's an ancient practice rooted in cultures across the globe, from West Africa to Central America to Southeast Asia. Our grandmothers knew. Our great-grandmothers knew. Somewhere along the way, we forgot.
Once I experienced the shift in my own body, my cycle, my energy, my sense of reconnection, I couldn't keep it to myself. I started sharing with friends. Then strangers. Then women who reached out to say "I didn't know this existed, and I needed it."
That's when Rica Oh My was born. Not from a business plan, but from a belief that every woman deserves access to this practice, handcrafted, intentional, and made with love.
Built by hand. Rooted in purpose.
Every yoni steam box that leaves my workshop is handmade. Every herbal blend is mixed with intention. I chose to build this business with my hands because this practice is about slowing down, being present, and honoring the ritual.
What started at my kitchen table now serves hundreds of women across the country. Repeat customers who message me to say "girl, I can't go without my monthly steam anymore." Women buying boxes for their mothers, their daughters, their best friends.
But selling products was never the whole vision.
Now I'm helping other women build what I built.
I know what it feels like to have a vision burning in your chest with no idea how to bring it to life. I know what it's like to Google "how to start a business" at 11pm after the kids are finally asleep.
That's why I created the Yoni Wellness Business Launch Program. Because the woman who's called to this work shouldn't have to figure it out alone. I'll walk you through everything: from your LLC to your spa layout to your first paying client.

Outside of business, I'm still just Erica.
A mom and Fiancée first. A woman who loves a good candle, a quiet morning, and a deep conversation. I live in Houston, Texas, and I'm still figuring it out most days, just like you.
I built Rica Oh My around my life, not the other way around. Because I believe you can create something meaningful without sacrificing the people and moments that matter most.
